Hello Scouts and Scout Parents! The schedule for this year is coming together and we look forward to getting back together for our annual back to the pack night on September 3, 2025 at 6PM. The event will be held at our new meeting location at the Topsail Presbyterian Church. We ask that all parents stay for the meeting so we can have the opportunity to discuss the plans for the 2025-2026 scouting year.
You can find additional information about our unit on the document linked below.
Yours in Scouting,
Pack 235 Leadership Team
As we gear up for the Fall Scouting season to begin, I wanted to reach out and provide a quick update on Trails End popcorn and Peanuts sales that will begin in September. Much more information will be provided at the Back to the Pack night on September 3rd, including a tutorial on how to use the Trails End app.
In addition to online sales and wagon sales, each Scout will have the opportunity to participate in site sales on their DEN SPECIFIC DATE at a local business and sell product (provided by the Pack, our Scouts only need to show up in uniform with a parent or guardian).
Please mark your calendars for the below DEN SPECIFIC DATE for our Scouts to staff times slots at local businesses. More information will be provided as we approach the scouting season and the dates below. Your den leader will provide more information and a sign up. Two Scouts will sell per time slot. Each den will share DAILY site sales evenly, regardless of peak or off peak sales slot. The Den who has the highest sales will win a Pizza Party at the end of October.

Ways To Sell:
1. Door-To-Door/Wagon Sales: Going from house to house or selling to family, friends, co-workers, etc.
2. Online: An online sale is when someone buys online and not in person – great option for family and friends out-of-town
3. Storefront: The pack will schedule dates and times at various storefronts. Scouts can then sign up for shifts to sell their own popcorn. The pack has placed a small pre-order for new scouts to sell once they join the pack. We need existing scouts to plan to pre-order their own supplies and we can do swaps with
the pack supply as necessary.
Scouts can sell their pre-ordered products door-to-door or at storefront sales. A customer can also order products using the paper order form if the scout runs out of something or for products not available for pre-order, like chocolate items or peanut brittle.
Sale Officially Ends:
Sales officially end and final order forms and payments are due to me by October 23rd.
The following applies to POPCORN sales only:
Trails End App:
All POPCORN sales will be made either through the Trails End app or on a popcorn order form. It is highly recommended to use the app to record sales. This makes things much simpler and reduces room for errors. You will also use the app to sign up for Store Front Shifts.
If you haven’t created your Trails End account, here are the steps to take:
1. Go to www.trails-end.com/registration
2. Start creating your account the unit code for our pack is USEGD
3. Once your account is created, download the trails end app from your app store
4. Once the app is downloaded, sign in and start Selling
How To Sell On The Trails End App:
1. Click wagon or storefront to specify which type of sell you are doing. If you are selling your own pre-ordered product, you will do this via wagon sale in the app vs. site sale. This way you receive full credit for the products that you brought and sold.
2. Click start sale
3. Tap what products the customer wants
4. Click Checkout
5. When clicking cash or credit, it will alert you saying items have been marked as delivered, if the item won’t be delivered until a later date or time, BE SURE to click UNDELIVERED.
6. Take payment via cash or credit card (remember – extra points are earned if they pay by credit card!)
For Popcorn and Peanut Sales:
30% Commission For Scouts:
No matter what amount a scout sells, 30% of what they sell goes into an account with the Pack to spend on anything scouting related. For example, if a scout sells $1,000, the scout earns $300 to spend on anything scouting related, such as:
1. Camping Trips (Admission/Food)
2. Uniforms
3. Camping Gear
4. BSA Rechartering fees / Pack Dues (due annually upon scout renewal)
It is recommended that scouts use this selling opportunity to their advantage, as it can pay for items listed above. It’s also a great option for parents because when your scout wants to go camping or buy something scouting related, it’s at no cost to the parent. It comes out of earned popcorn/peanut money instead.
